Meet Dr. Paul Carlin
Often referred to
as
|
Paul Carlin is often referred to as The Apostle Paul of
Prison Ministry because of his great pioneer spirit and
his enormous gift of creativity. |
|
He and his wife and ministry partner, Jeri, have been in
prison ministry for 30 years. |
|
Carlin has been an ordained Southern Baptist Minister
for 52 years. |
|
He is the founder of Prisoners Bible Institute. Under
that non-profit umbrella, for 28 years, he conducted
over 350 Lay Witness Prison Revivals. PBI was the lone
sponsor of the first simultaneous prison revival in
Texas. Carlin pulled together 850 volunteers, trained
them, recruited and trained 17 evangelistic teams;
assigned volunteers to the teams and in 1984 invaded 17
Texas prisons on the same weekend. The Texas Prison
Invasion resulted in thousands of commitments to Christ
and a new day for prison ministry in Texas. |

In 1986, Carlin’s ministry teamed with International
Prison Ministry of Dallas and Christian Prison Ministry
of Florida to sponsor the National Prison Invasion. Over
8,000 volunteers were trained in Carlin’s crusade
methods. On the same weekend the teams went into 350
prisons in America for the National Prison Invasion.
Over 8,000 inmates were saved and thousands of others
made new commitments to Christ. |

In 1996, he founded The Association of X-Offenders. |
|
In 1997, he founded The Therapon Institute, Texas first
and finest Biblical Counselor certification and
licensing school. |
|
He is the creator and developer of the nationally
registered and recognized Christian counseling model,
Belief Therapy. BT is classified by the U. S. Patent and
Trademark Office as a “psychological and religious
counseling” model. The international headquarters for
Therapon is located in Marrero, Louisiana. Dr. David
Rodriguez is the President. With 4,000 graduates in
almost every state and several foreign counties,
Therapon has made an impact on Christian counseling
